Vintage & Antique Tattoo Machine Grips & Tubes

Tattoo tube gripes and tattoo machine tubes developed over the last 100 years. From homemade brass tubes to stainless steel tubes, tattoo artists used many types of material & metals. Popular in Europe among the tattoo artists was the wooden grip during the early 199^60`s through the mid 1970`s.

 

The Scandinavian tattoo artists and machine builders who invented the wooden tattoo grip came from Denmark and Sweden. Later on Dutch tattoo machine builders borrowed the idea, such as Tattoo Peter and Tattoo Ramon. The wooden tattoo machine grip had a short lifespan because by the mid 1970`s they realized that wood was not really hygienic.
